PRICING TO MEET YOUR NEEDS

We use a rate schedule based on the number of labor hours
of cleaning provided.

Our staff calls the office when they arrive in your home, and call again when they have finished cleaning for you.  Companies imposing flat rates generally don’t provide any assurances about how long their employees will stay in your home.  We have had customers tell us they have paid over one hundred dollars to have 2 cleaners from one of our competitors spend forty-five minutes to an hour in their home; that’s over fifty dollars per labor hour!  We work hourly to allow you the flexibility to vary the service we provide without re-pricing.  Our clients enjoy the convenience of being able to make special requests, adjust the tasks to be performed, and switch rooms or areas to be serviced.  Ever think you might want a really thorough service on your first floor for an upcoming party?  Are the racks and shelves in your refrigerator kind of grimy?  Whenever possible, we'll adjust to your wishes — you won’t hear us say “we can’t do that, it’s not on your work order”.  We will rotate tasks at your request, but we believe bathrooms and kitchens should be thoroughly cleaned every visit—not every third service.

How do you know we are not “milking the clock”?
The vast majority of our business comes from repeat clients; many switched to us after using other services.  We thoroughly train our employees, use the safest and most effective cleaning supplies we can find, make random quality checks on service in progress, and want you to keep using us.  We routinely get compliments from clients who praise our employee’s hard work and efficient use of time.  Our employees are trained to understand that you, our client, reviews our performance and pays our wages.  You will not be disappointed.

What about taking that lower price from an “under the table” maid?
If you hire a person from the penny saver, swap sheet, Craig’s list, or neighborhood gossip circle—there are risks!  New York State does not currently have any licensing or training requirements for house cleaners; pretty much anybody with a broom can claim to be in the business.  TimeWise Cleaning does employee driver’s license checks, criminal background checks, reference and employment checks.  We also provide all the employer insurances required, as well as liability insurance that is not required by law.  Did you know you were responsible for withholding, matching, and submitting Social Security taxes on a domestic worker to whom you pay $1,700 dollars a year?   Did you know you are required by law to send a 1099 form to the IRS for anyone to whom you pay more than $600 dollars a year?  Some individuals recommended for Presidential Cabinet appointments claimed they didn’t understand these laws—do you want to take this chance?  We received a phone call from a woman several years back that had an “independent” cleaner in her home…this “cleaner” had spilled bleach in the center of a relatively new carpet.  The cleaner told the woman “there is nothing I can do”—do you want to take this chance?
